Mask Policy
Mask wearing is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Please wear a mask at your discretion:
During times of mandatory masks for indoor settings (NSW Health Regulations), all patients and support persons entering our premises will be required to wear their own mask. This mask shall be correctly seated over the mouth AND nose at all times whilst indoors, except while as a patient under ACTIVE TREATMENT in the dental chair.
If a patient support person does not have a mask, they will be asked to return to their car. As a condition of entry, a mask MUST be worn. An exemption to the mask ruling applies to all children under the age of 12 years old. It would be expected however, that ONLY PERSONS WHO HAVE A DENTAL APPOINTMENT attend our dental surgery unless a parent/guardian or primary care giver to a patient with an appointment.
During mandatory mask periods, if a PATIENT does not have a mask, they will also be asked to return to their vehicle where they may wait until they are called in, and only then may they enter the building, go straight to the surgery for treatment, and then depart from the surgery as soon as practical after their treatment session.
Unfortunately, mask stock within the premises is ONLY for staff use for patient care. There is NO STOCK allowance for patient distribution as mask supply is limited and the ability for us to provide ongoing treatment will otherwise compromised.
All staff will also be required to wear their face masks at all times patients are on premises. A new mask will be donned at the commencement of treatment time prior to patient being called into the surgery. This mask will remain in place for the duration of treatment and until after the surgery is prepared fir the next patient.
Reception staff will also be required to wear a mask at all times when at the desk.
Stanhope Dental Centre staff will retain the right to refuse access and or treatment to any persons who refuse to comply with the policies above and if necessary, will be prepared to call the local police. (Police assistance line: 131444)
This policy will remain in place until further notice.
